About us
Hello, I’m Emma
As a mum of two and someone living in a neurodiverse household, I understand first-hand how overwhelming it can be when you realise your child needs extra support, and you’re unsure where to begin.
While I was fortunate to have a supportive GP, I still remember the frustration of trying to find the right services, therapies, and funding options. There were countless hours spent researching, making phone calls, and facing long waitlists, often feeling unsure of what to do next. Navigating the NDIS added another layer of complexity that many families experience.
Now, with more than nine years of first-hand experience managing NDIS plans, I have a deep understanding of how the system works and how to make the most of your plan.
Before becoming a parent, I worked as a Disability Support Worker before transitioning into Early Childhood Education, where I’ve spent over 20 years supporting children and families.
These personal and professional experiences inspired me to create Next Steps Pathway Planning, a service built to help individuals and families find clarity, confidence, and direction without the stress and confusion I once faced.
Although I enjoy supporting individuals and families of all ages and abilities, I have a special interest in neurodiversity and early childhood development, particularly within the early childhood education and inclusion support space.
At Next Steps, my goal is simple, to help you feel informed and supported as you take your next steps with confidence.
